....it was night, and finally the city was at rest. The silent mouse just sat on the quiet park bench, beneath the shadow of Ferret Man's statue. She gently fingered the black terrorist jacket. A jacket left on her shoulders a handful of heartbeats ago, by one of the dark clad ones, for she was just a malin'kiy mouse lost on her first night in the big city.

She never saw that terrorist again, his kind voice but a memory.

Nor does she ever expect to see him again.

But now she can dream, reminded of the promise, of knights in shining armor beneath the sparkling stars ... a dream bound within his armored jacket that she now wears, her most cherished gift.

It was Tashka's first night in Supermegatopia. And what a night it was. The Metallurgist she met, on the city streets ... a brush with a villian named Rhode Rage and Buxom Gal's heroic intervention introduced her to both sidewalk and hospital, where she could only afford second and third aid. All alone, she tried walking back, to find a couch to sleep upon, broke, with but a single crinkled kiwibuck to her name.

It was a SMT Terrorist who then shared his sandwich and a soda pop with a malin'kiy mouse, for nothing more than her company, a rest on a park bench, halfway to home.

"First Night" is based on "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" by England Dan and John Ford Coley.

Hello, yes, I'm new in town,
Few days, how 'bout you?
I didn't know just what I'd find,
But I really didn't think it would be you

Walking though the park, it's a quiet night,
Burning cars a soft orange glow.
I was there all alone
The stars above, and me below.

I'm not talking about Carrion,
And Brute Force, he just wants to fight.
But there's moonlight shining down on Kiwi-town,
And I'd really like to see you tonight.

I never thought I'd meet a terrorist,
Atleast, not on this old park bench.
The last person I thought I'd see,
offer dinner and a soda just to be with me!

I'm not talking about Carrion,
And Doc Ghoti, he's just not right.
But there's moonlight shining down on Kiwi-town,
And I'd really like to see you tonight.

You have a dark life to lead,
So I guess it's good-bye.
Our path takes us so far apart,
Just a song, to know you by

I'm not talking about Carrion,
or Avatar, she's a'flight.
But there's moonlight shining down on Kiwi-town,
And I'd really like to see you tonight.

I'm not talking about Carrion,
And Brute Force, he just wants to fight.
But there's moonlight shining down on Kiwi-town
And I'd really like to see you tonight.
