There is a contradiction that is so compelling about a warlock character, especially that of an Alliance warlock. It is the balance, the conflict between shadow and light where the richness and subtlety of the roleplaying can be found. The interesting thing about the Warlock is that it can support a wide variety of character types and personalities ... from the relatively accepted undead warlocks to those who walk the very edge of insanity and darkness.

And, of all character types, it is the Warlock who is intimately aquainted with the true underlying conflict of this world - not Alliance versus Horde, but everyone against the Burning Legion.

Take the lil' gnome, introduced through conversations with a demon.

The question is not if Nellisynthia is a true warlock ...

The real question is how did a quiet gnome lass come to the point where her best friend is a demon ...
